Impressive matching pair of highly decorative carved wood armchairs featuring dramatic lion-head arm supports, carved floral detailing and paw-form front feet.
Each chair has a substantial dark mahogany-toned wood frame with carved ornamentation surrounding the upholstered back and along the seat rail. The arms terminate in beautifully detailed dimensional lion heads, giving the chairs a distinctive Old World/Renaissance Revival appearance.
The chairs are upholstered in a richly patterned tapestry-style fabric in muted gold, burgundy, green and blue tones, with heraldic-style animal and floral motifs. Brass-tone nailhead trim finishes the upholstered backs, seats and arm pads.
